OneVanilla Card

There are so many debit cards on the market today, it’s difficult to differentiate them. The OneVanilla prepaid visa card has done a great job standing out. OneVanilla is one of the most popular prepaid card that allows you to load money onto the card at the cash register (participating retailers can be found here). The funds are usually ready for immediate use. No personal information such as name, address or social security number is required. OneVanilla allow consumers to purchase products and services online completely anonymous. Many businesses online use the credit/debit card zip code as a security feature during checkout. With OneVanilla, you can assign a zip code to your card. OneVanilla users do not have ATM access and cannot get cash back. We love the OneVanilla prepaid visa card simply because of its ease-of-use and it does not require us to register the card. Here are some other benefits of the OneVanilla prepaid visa card:

  • No credit check
  • No personal information required (anonymous)
  • Ready to use immediately

OneVanilla Card Declined

If you're OneVanilla card was declined when attempting to purchase something, one of two things happened. You either ran out of funds which is more than likely what happened, the cashier made an error when loading funds onto your OneVanilla card (less likely to happen, but it does happen) or the transaction you attempted to make doesn't allow this type of prepaid card. Below we dig deep into each situation and help you solve or understand why your OneVanilla card was declined.

Here's What You Should Do

"Insufficient Funds"

Visit OneVanilla official website at www.onevanilla.com and enter your card number. The OneVanilla website will show you how much money is currently available on your card. If there is money available, then we know it's not an "insufficient funds" error.

"Cashier Error"

When you first purchase your OneVanilla card the cashier has to swipe your card at the register, enter your load amount and enter some codes to successfully add funds to the card. It is common for your receipt to verified that funds have successfully been loaded onto your card. Look at your receipt and search for something that says "confirmation", "accepted" or something similar. The transaction code should also be located on the receipt as well. This code can be traced and will be helpful when contacting OneVanilla or the store manager for assistance.

"Prepaid Cards Not Accepted"

Visa & Mastercards are accepted at most merchants online and offline, however there is a an exception with OneVanilla card. The OneVanilla card is a pretty anonymous card. When you purchase it at the store and load funds onto it you can start using it right away without ever creating an account with your name, address, or social security number attached to it. Because they are anonymous some merchants do not allow this type of card to be used make purchases at their store. These stores specifically look for the buyer's credit/debit card zip code number. If there is no zip code number they will decline the transaction.
