Mango Prepaid Card

The Mango prepaid debit card is one of the better cards out there for the simple fact they offer their users the chance to earn up to 6.00% APY ( Annual Percentage Yield). Not many other prepaid debit cards offer savings account feature for the unbanked. Another great thing about the Mango prepaid debit card is the wide variety of ways to add money to the card.

Users of the Mango card load money onto their card via direct deposit, bank transfer, at the cash register using Green Dot’s Reload Network and PayPal. The PayPal option isn’t offered by many other prepaid debit cards, so that is something particularly to highlight. Mango also allow their users to custom design and personalize their debit card as well, however that comes with a fee.

Mango Prepaid Card Fees

Mango prepaid card is slightly heavy on fees compared to other prepaid cards. Mango charges $3 for ATM withdrawals which is on the expensive side compared to other brands that charge $2.50. An $8 inactivity fee is slightly rich as well compared to competitors that charge around $5. Unfortunately Mango has not mention anything about their Signature & Pin transaction fees which may raise transparency issues.

Worth Mentioning: Brinks & Mango are one of the few prepaid debit cards that offer a savings account with APY. Other prepaid cards like Green Dot and Serve allow users to save their money in a reserve, but its not possible to earn with APY.
