Brinks Prepaid Mastercard
Brinks Prepaid Mastercard is an interesting card for one reason that may not be that obvious to others. Before it was widely known that Brinks offered a prepaid debit card, the company was known for something else…security. You may have seen the Brinks armored trucks in a variety of cities, especially in New York City. So you may find it interesting that no other prepaid card company is also a security company.
Brinks prepaid debit card competes with some of the more widely known cards like Green Dot, NetSpend and Walmart’s MoneyCard. All of these prepaid debit cards reward their users with cashback on qualifying purchases. Brinks card is backed by TSYS (Total System Services, Inc.) the same company that enables NetSpend to offer their services.
Brink's Armored Truck
Brink's whole "schtick", or what makes them different, is the fact that they are a company that moves large amounts of money and and deals within the security industry. Because of this experience, Brinks can do the same for their consumers through their prepaid card. The bank associated with Brinks is the Republic Bank & Trust Company, which is a member of FDIC
Unfortunately, if you currently live in Vermont, you are not able to open an account with Brinks prepaid card.

As with all prepaid cards, you should aim to pay as little as possible when it comes to fees. You can withdraw cash from any ATM with your Brink's money card but you will likely be paying a fee of $2.50 from the ATM operator, on top of the $2.50 that Brinks charges you. It is in your best interests to use a surcharge-free ATM like All Point.
